Identify the serial number and model number of your Jetbook:

Turn your laptop upside down. The serial number and model number are normally located around the FCC and safety label.

1. Serial Number:

The serial number is the number under the bar code although some models have this identifier in the battery cavity.

2. Jetta Model Number:

MODEL 2400 in this example is the model number from Jetta.

3. Manufacturer Model Number:

258KA5 in this example is the factory model number.

Why are there two model numbers?

The production factory assigns a model number aka a factory code for each model they produce. As we build notebooks from multiple factories their model numbers can occasionally conflict. In order to avoid such confusion, Jetta uses its own naming system for marketing and technical support purpose.

When you call Jetta or visit Jetta web site, please reference Jetta's identifier "MODEL 2400" as your model number in the example above. This will help you find the proper resources as quickly and easily as possible.
